Set the Stage

To have your Halloween Scareoke party be a hit, be sure to set the stage and create a fun atmosphere for the performances.

Arrange your room so there is an area for the singer(s) to stand for their performance.
Arrange chairs, sofas, and other seating in a semi-circle around the “stage” space, so everyone can watch when it isn’t their turn.
Rugs, curtains, and backdrops can help the acoustics and reduce echoes. Pick black or Halloween colors & prints to add to the spooky feel.
Dim the lights and/or set up party lights. Karaoke is fun and cheesy, so bring out those disco balls, party lights, and more.

For the performers. Set up a microphone if you have one. If not, no worries, have your friends belt out the tunes the best they can – you are in your home, not a loud bar, so it should work fine. Play the karaoke music & lyrics from your tv or a laptop. Just make sure the singer(s) can see it easily while performing. They shouldn’t be standing with their backs to the screen.
