Each Halloween it is time to dig out the cat costumes and put my loyal familiars through a humiliating photo shoot. They are good sports about it and receive plenty of pets, cuddles, and treats afterwards. Here are two of my favorite outfits throughout the years.
My mom made the above bee costume for my cats a few years ago. Spooky (left photo) was unhappy with it, but always wore it elegantly. Scuffalo (right photo) is more of a mess, but is happy to wear it while chasing a toy or lounging about.
Continuing the insect theme, my mom also made a ladybug costume for my demure little fur babies. Iris (left photo) channeled her inner beast with the pointy eared hood. Jinx (right photo), however, seemed to be re-thinking her life choices when downgraded from a fierce kitty to an adorable bug. I think she’d prefer the bee costume for this year!
