Things can get pretty crazy during the countdown to Halloween. Be sure to make time for yourself and take care of your needs. Everyone needs a little R&RIP now and then.
Here are a few of my favorite ways to pamper myself at home.
My spooky spa days always consist of a facial; long, hot bath; and a self-administered mani-pedi. Before I begin, I gather all my supplies:

My bathroom always feels a little like Halloween. I added DIY ghosts to my soap dispenser and toothbrush holder. I also get spooky joy every time I glimpse my soap holder from Lenny Mud Pottery. To really set the mood for a spooky spa day, I turn off the lights and light some LED candles. I would use regular candles, but my furry familiars would likely light the house on fire. Occasionally, I will even set up a laser star field light for a truly spectacular view. Be sure to keep anything electrical far from your tub/shower.
Next I put on a calming meditative soundtrack. I highly recommend the album “Ghosts” by Llewellyn. Its nine tracks are each based on different ghost stories from the British Isles.
You are now ready to have a wonderful spa experience right at home! The facial will keep your skin looking bright and hydrated – especially if you are wearing lots of monster makeup this Halloween season. A long soak in a warm bath will relax your muscles after a tension-filled haunt night. Use a body scrub to shed some dead skin (not recommended for zombies or other undead creatures). Finally the nail polish, lotion, and body spray are the perfect finishes to help you feel confident and as beautiful as you are on the inside.
