Halloween Purses
When it comes to dressing in your Halloween best, accessories can truly make an outfit. The right bag pulls a whole look together and can be an eye-catching statement piece. Halloween purses are not just decorative, they also holds all the odds & ends you need for any spooky endeavor. I have a small assortment of bags I cycle between, but below are two that I highly recommend to add to your closet.
La Femme En Noir Pumpkin Bag
In 2020 La Femme En Noir debuted their officially licensed Sleepy Hollow collections. Inspired by the 1999 Tim Burton classic, Sleepy Hollow, the collection featured dresses skirts, and a show-stopping pumpkin bag. The Headless Horseman’s pumpkin head was recreated as a molded soft PVC vinyl purse with a full three-dimensional shape. The inside is lined with a signature Sleepy Hollow Toile print.
With a length of 10 inches, height of 9.75 inches, the girth at the center measures a whopping 32 inches. I honestly wasn’t quite prepared for just how large this purse actually is!
Luckily, La Femme En Noir created a petite “Baby Pumpkin Bag” later on, reducing the size to a width of 7.5 inches, height of 7.5 inches, and girth of only 24 inches. That one is a lot more reasonable for general use.
Both these purses are stylish and the outer plastic is quite durable. They offer plenty of room for your wallet and all the various things a witchy woman needs.
Post Mortem Shapeshifter Purse
The ghouls at Post Mortem Horror Bootique know exactly what Halloween purse fans want. Their unique Shapeshifter bags have interchangeable faceplates, allowing you to change up your look faster than saying, “Trick-or-Treat”. The bag can also be adjusted to wear over-the-shoulder, cross-body, or as a backpack. Styles range from general Halloween & horror to officially licensed partnerships with Trick ‘r Treat, Halloween, and Ghost.
I am a big fan of this one because I can have a completely new style without having to transfer my wallet, keys, Chapstick, voodoo dolls, etc. The purse is quite roomy and it includes an inner pocket for quick access to small items. The bag is about 10″ in diameter and 4″ deep, which works well for someone as small as me.
