Screamfest Horror Film Festival is the largest and longest-running horror film fest in the United States. It has launched the careers of numerous filmmakers by discovering and premiering groundbreaking films such as Paranormal Activity in 2007. With high praise from some of the most respected horror publications, it has earned the well-deserved moniker of the “Sundance of Horror.”

Screamfest is dedicated to premiering the newest and most innovative works from American and international independent horror filmmakers. The festival has a proud history of helping filmmakers gain distribution and representation, thus providing them with the opportunity to launch their careers in the industry.

Screamfest Fears & Beers: My Bloody Valentine 3D

Get ready for a deadly date night with your sweetheart! At 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14th, 2023 the Screamfest Fears & Beers: My Bloody Valentine 3D Screening will take place at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres. My Bloody Valentine 3D is the 2009 remake of the classic 80’s Valentine’s Day slasher flick of the same name (minus the “3D”). The film is directed by Patrick Lussier and stars Jensen Ackles, Jaime King, Kerr Smith, and Betsy Rue.

The screening will include a Q&A with wdirector Patrick Lussier and other TBA cast members. Brush up on your My Bloody Valentine & horror trivia to win great  prizes. Attendees 21+ will also receive one complimentary beer per ticket. 

My Bloody Valentine 3D tickets are $16.00 each and can be purchased on Eventbrite. Purchased tickets will be available at the Screamfest will-call table in the theater’s lobby starting at 6:30 p.m. (NO EARLY ENTRY). Please bring your Eventbrite email confirmation.

Tom returns to his hometown on the tenth anniversary of the Valentine’s night massacre that claimed the lives of 22 people. Instead of a homecoming, Tom finds himself suspected of committing the murders, and it seems like his old flame is the only one that believes he’s innocent.

Cast: Jensen Ackles, Jaime King, Kerr Smith, Betsy Rue

After the film, there will be a Q&A with cast & crew. Be sure to check the Screamfest website for participant announcements.

The film is directed by Patrick Lussier and stars Jensen Ackles, Jaime King, Kerr Smith, and Betsy Rue.

The screening will include a Q&A with writer Todd Farmer, director Patrick Lussier, and other TBA cast members moderated by Brian Collins. Attendees 21+ will also receive one complimentary beer per ticket.

Screamfest Bloodvember Drive-In Screenings

Not quite ready to move from scary to merry? Come on down to the Screamfest Bloodvember Drive-In Screenings on Thursday, November 19th, 2020. Taking place at The Plant Drive In (7876 Van Nuys Blvd., Van Nuys, VA 91402), Screamfest will present a double-feature of Black Christmas (1974) & The Amityville Horror (1979). Buy a ticket for one or both screenings to get into the holiday horror spirit.

Black Christmas tickets start at $20 for the driver only and go to $60 for a car with a driver & 4 passengers. For an extra $20, you can upgrade your ticket to a double feature for the full carload. The Amityville Horror tickets are $40 per carload.

Director Bob Clark is a Christmastime staple with his family-friendly A Christmas Story, but he first ventured into holiday films with Black Christmas.

When sorority sisters Olivia Hussey (ROMEO & JULIET ’68), Margot Kidder (SUPERMAN) and Andrea Martin (SCTV) are under attack from a vicious potty-mouthed killer, it’s up to police chief John Saxon to even the odds.
